Jeff arrived in Florida in 1983 after graduating from the University of New Haven with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management. From his garage in Central Florida, Jeff started to sell lobsters to a few restaurants in 1986. By 1987 Jeff had moved into a small warehouse, selling thousands of lobsters to supermarkets throughout Florida. With this growth, Jeff was able to offer more and more products to several Florida regions becoming one of the largest full line seafood distributors in the state.Jeff has continued his relationship with the University by serving on the Board of Governors and supporting the school’s Hospitality and Tourism Management program. In addition to financial support, Jeff provides seafood to the Hazell Nut Café and Jeffery’s Fusion Restaurant, both restaurants run by UNH students as part of the Hospitality and Tourism Management program. In January of 2010, Jeff was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Business Administration.

Culinary Certificate from the University of New York Restaurant School Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Administration from the University of New York Institute of Technology I began my career in the corporate cafeterias of my hometown Queens, New York. My sales experience began with Otis Spunkmeyer, where I worked for 1 year. After moving to South Florida with my family, that experience led me to Sysco and helped me branch out into management. I remained with Sysco for 23 years and moved to the Orlando area in 2011. As a previous customer, Bar Harbor Seafood offered me the opportunity to lead the sales team and pave the foundation for a growing cycle in Florida. My wife and I rejoice in the growth of our own family and our 5 children. Some of my passions include Soccer, Hockey and Cycling.
BS in AccountingI have 30 years experience in food service focusing on purchasing, inventory, and financial operations. Before joining Bar Harbor Seafood in 1999, I gained valuable experience with the major chains of Marriott, Hyatt, and Wyndham.
Vice President of Operations
John started working on the Boston fish pier right out of high school in 1982 as the first employee for Cape Cod Shellfish. In 1990, he headed west to Monterey California and went to work for Consolidated Factors, a major producer and wholesaler, as their operations manager. After two years of learning the west coast fishing industry, John returned home to Boston and went back to work for Cape Cod Shellfish where he spent the next four years buying and overseeing operations. In 1997, he packed up and headed south where he took the position of operations manager for Central Seafood and remained in that position for 19 years before taking the roll of Vice President of Operations with Bar Harbor Seafood in 2015. John brings years of knowledge and his specialty of running operations to our company.
